The proposal is aimed at "improving the access of Ukrainian exporters to the EU market taking into account the difficult economic situation and economic reforms initiated by Ukraine. The press service of the Council of the Council of Europe, published on the Council's official website, said the decision was a gesture of tangible political and economic support of Ukraine and the European Union.

Given the difficult situation that Ukraine is currently facing, we hope for the speedy implementation of this regulation, "said Malta's Minister of Economy, Investment and Small Business, Christian Cardon.

At the same time, the communique explained that in this way the already introduced trade provisions are being supplemented, according to the agreement on the association between the EU and Ukraine signed in 2014. In particular, we are talking about "additional annual import quotas at zero tariff" for a number of agricultural products, the list of which is given in document. These activities are designed for three years.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appealed to the European Parliament on the introduction of additional trade preferences of the EU to Ukrainian goods.
