Employees of the Department of Economic Protection in the Volyn region of the National Police and the prosecutor's office of the region with the participation of the special subdivision of the KORD have seized 90 thousand US dollars, 290 thousand hryvnia, more than 11 tons of alcohol and unaccounted for timber.

Operatives of the Department of Economic Protection in the Volyn region of the National Police exposed corruption schemes organized by customs officials. In particular, on a system basis, funds were received for transport of goods and goods across the country's customs border. In the framework of criminal proceedings, investigators of the regional prosecutor's office and police detained intruders during the receipt of illegal profits.

In addition, the operatives had information that there was a so-called "black cash desk" - the means that customs officers collected from citizens as "gratitude".

Having carried out a number of operational and investigative measures, law enforcers established a place for storing money. They also collected enough evidence indicating that these funds were received by customs officials illegally.

Based on the decision of the court operatives of the Department of Economic Protection in the Volyn region of the National Police and investigators of the regional prosecutor's office with the participation of the special subdivision of the KORD carried out sanctioned searches in the premises of one of the commercial structures. Also, searches were carried out at the place of residence of its head, who was responsible for the safety of the "cash desk".

Law enforcers seized the so-called "black cashier": $ 90 thousand, 290 thousand hryvnia, as well as documents certifying their illegal origin. These amounts were received for the smuggling of transport and goods.

In addition, an underground shop for the production of counterfeit alcohol products was found, where more than 11 tons of alcohol were seized. Also in the territory of society found a significant amount of unaccounted for wood.
