Bill No. 6576 on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On State Assistance to Families with Children" (concerning ensuring the constitutional right of Ukrainian families to an adequate standard of living) was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Authors of the document remind, that the sum of the state help today makes 41 280 grivnas. At the same time, initially the mother gives 10320 hryvnia, and then the amount is broken monthly by 860 hryvnias.

In this connection, the authors ask how a person who works and receives a decent salary can live on 860 hryvnia without having any other profit. Therefore, the authors believe that for the first and second child, payments should be 200% of the subsistence minimum for children under six years of age at the time of the payment and 300% for the third and next.

It is also proposed to establish assistance with the adoption of a child in the amount established for the payment of assistance with the birth of the first child.

The explanatory note to the bill says that the document is designed to increase the amount of payments to families with children, to overcome the demographic crisis, to change the order of appointment of assistance at the birth of the child, to increase the lump-sum payment, and to provide a monthly allowance for three years from viscous to the subsistence level For children of six years old, which is set at the time of the payment, will in turn unquestionably contribute to the improvement of the standard of living of families with children Umi. The bill will not require additional funds from the state budget, the authors assured.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in proposals for the state budget for 2016, the Ministry of Finance offered to freeze social standards and, in particular, payments for the birth of a child.
