Vegetables and fruits have risen in price in Ukraine

In May, food prices rose by 2.4%. In Ukraine in May 2017 compared with the previous month, food prices rose by 2.4%. Corresponding data without taking into account temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, g. Sevastopol and part of the antiterrorist operation zone was announced by the State Statistics Service. In January-May this year, compared to the same period of the past, food prices rose by 7%. Most of all in May, compared with the previous month, rose vegetables and fruits (16.7% and 12.8%).

At 2.9-0.8%, prices for meat and meat products, rice, bread increased. At the same time, eggs fell significantly (by 13.4%), by 3.3% and 2.1% - buckwheat groats and milk. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 2.7%, in t. Tobacco products - by 5.5%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.9%. Recall, from July 1, the Cabinet completely repeals the state regulation of food prices.
