Sverdlovsk region shows the largest increase in milk volumes in Russia. Since the beginning of 2017, the region produced 12.5 thousand tons of milk more than in 2016, the Governor's Information Policy Department.

"According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, for 4 months of this year, the volume of milk production in the agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation grew by 3.3 percent, and we increased production by almost 6 percent. We are in the four regions, which in 2017 show the largest increase in milk production, "said the Minister of Agro-Industrial Complex and Food of the Sverdlovsk Region Dmitry Degtyarev.

It is worth recalling that the dairy industry in the Middle Urals is the leading. From the regional budget Ural livestock breeders are subsidized part of the cost of production of the drink: 3 rubles 50 kopecks in the northern regions of the region, 3 rubles - by region. This is one of the high subsidies in Russia.

Thanks to the industry's assistance from the head of the region Yevgeny Kuyvashev and the government, in the past five years milk production has been steadily increasing. In 2016, 676.2 thousand tons were produced, which is 103.4 percent to the level of 2015.



The Sverdlovsk region is among the top ten milk producers in the Russian Federation, and in the Urals Federal District the region stably ranks first.

For three consecutive years, according to the information policy department of the governor, the Middle Urals breaks its own records: on February 6, 2015, the average daily milk yield in the region reached 17 liters of milk, on May 27, 2016 - 18 liters, and on March 10, 2017, the average daily yield in the region reached the next The historical maximum - 19 liters of milk.
