The Stockholm arbitration sent out on Wednesday, May 31, an interim resolution on the dispute between the Russian Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine on the terms of delivery and the amount of the debt of the Ukrainian side for them. As the head of Naftohaz Ukrayiny Andrei Kobolev said that the Stockholm arbitration canceled the "take-or-pay" condition for the gas transit contract. The fines for the shortage of fuel under the contract-take or pay contract constitute the bulk of Gazprom's financial claims to Naftogaz, which was to pay annually for the minimum amount of Russian gas.

Also, Naftogaz demanded to cancel the ban on re-export of Russian gas, changes in fuel prices, as well as reimbursement of already made overpayments for unreviewed prices and transit rates.

The total amount of claims of "Gazprom" to "Naftogaz" is 37 billion dollars.

Gazprom and Naftogaz are being sued in Stockholm arbitration since June 2014. "Naftogaz" demands from the Russian company $ 18.1 billion overpayment due to unfair contract price in 2012-2013. In the proceedings of the Stockholm arbitration, a suit is also being considered, according to which Naftogaz demands changing the gas transit contract and recovering about $ 10 billion from Gazprom.
