Export of Ukrainian sugar increased 9-fold

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. The report says that the largest buyers of Ukrainian sugar were Cote d'Ivoire ($ 16.2 million), Sri Lanka ($ 16 million), Myanmar ($ 12 million) and Libya ($ 11.4 million).



In addition, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukrainian enterprises exported 344,000 tons of sugar for the sugar season, which started on August 20, 2016 and ended on January 11, 2017, which is 33 times more than in the same period a year earlier.

It is also reported that this year, according to the estimates of "Ukrtsukra", the acreage under sugar beet will grow to 330-350 thousand hectares.

Earlier, URA-Inform reported that last year the volume of export of Ukrainian wines abroad decreased by about a third.
