In total, the increase in pensions will affect about 5.6 million pensioners out of 12 million. This is stated in the information on the main directions of the pension reform, submitted by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman.

According to the document, in particular 1.3 million Ukrainian pensioners will receive an additional payment to the monthly pension of 200 hryvnia, 1.2 million - from 200 to 500 hryvnia. At the same time, more than a million pensioners will receive a thousand more hryvnia, which is almost twice as much as their current pensions.

The prime minister also recalled that the recount of pensions in Ukraine has not been carried out for almost five years, so from October 1 all pensions will be recalculated in accordance with the level of increase in salaries.

The Prime Minister also proposes to revise the size of the minimum pension as early as October 1, not December 1, and increase it to 1,373 UAH.

Thus, pensions will raise almost nine million pensioners, - promised Groisman.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on Wednesday, May 17, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill on pension reform. According to the adopted document, the minimum insurance period for retirement will be increased to 25 years. Also, the pension reform provides for the possibility of buying up to five years of missing insurance coverage.
