At the same time, she is sure that such a decision proves once again that the country has changed in favor of real democratic values. For three years I constantly fought for the true independence of the National Bank, - wrote Gontareva.

At the same time, she wrote that Ukraine was able to stabilize the macroeconomic situation in the country only thanks to the international community, namely the IMF, the World Bank, the EBRD, the European Union and the US government. But we could not do all this without stabilizing the budget and reforming the energy sector, "said Gontareva.

Recall, April 10, Gontareva announced her resignation.

As reported URA-Inform, in connection with the application for resignation, Gontareva appointed May 11 acting head of the NBU, his first deputy Yakov Smolia, and she went on a forced leave.
