The first passenger airliner of Chinese production C919 on Friday, May 5, made a test flight. He took off at Shanghai Pudong Airport, the test flight lasted one hour and 20 minutes. On board the plane was a crew of five. The plane climbed to a height of three thousand meters, the tests were recognized as successful.
The liner, developed by the Chinese corporation Comac, is designed to press on the market Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800. The maximum range of the Chinese aircraft is 5,5 thousand kilometers, the car will be produced in several variants, designed for a different number of seats.
Corporation Comac reported about 570 orders for a liner from 23 air carriers.
Earlier, on May 4, it became known that the first flight of a Russian passenger aircraft MS-21 left the assembly shop. The liner is prepared for the first test flight, its date is not yet called. It is assumed that the MS-21 will also be able to compete with Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800.
