The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar on Friday, May 5, at the level of 26.48 UAH / dollar, dropping it by four kopecks compared to the previous working day (26.52 UAH / USD on Thursday, May 4).
The euro rate is set at 28.94 UAH / EUR (May 4 - UAH 28.96), 10 rubles - 4.6 UAH / ruble (May 4 - UAH 4,645).
On April 13, the NBU decided to reduce the discount rate from 14% to 13% per annum. "Restoring the cycle of monetary policy mitigation is consistent with the need to achieve inflation targets in 2017-2019 and will support the pace of economic growth," the NBU said..
At the same time, the inflation rate will remain within the previously outlined indicators. The inflation forecast for 2017 remains at the level of 9.1%, for 2018 at the level of 6%. In 2019, inflation is projected to decline to 5%.
