According to the Association of Processors for Counteracting Falsification of Dairy Products, among inexpensive butter and cheeses on the Russian market, the share of counterfeit products exceeds 90%. This was announced by the RNS Executive Director of the Association Alexander Brazhko.
According to Brazhko, in general, the situation with the falsification of dairy products in Russia is becoming critical, since in the lower price segment (up to 400 rubles. For kg) the proportion of counterfeit "off scale". The product, which is sold with the label "Butter" at a price cheaper than 400 rubles per kilogram, in 90% of cases is falsified, he stressed.. The same applies to inexpensive cheeses, under the guise of which most often sold a cheese-like mass or cheese product, in which 50% of milk fat is replaced by vegetable.
According to the Association of processors on counterfeiting, Rospotrebnadzor is not active enough in the fight against falsified products. The reason lies in the reluctance of the regulator to spoil statistics.
That is why the territorial departments of Rospotrebnadzor are afraid to work on our statements, the head of the Association.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, in the first quarter of 2017, the greatest amount of falsified material was found in dairy products (7.5% of cases), followed by imported fish products (6.5%), RNS. The department stressed that all adulterated products were withdrawn from circulation, for all facts of detection, supervisory and control measures were taken against producers and sellers.
