Gazprom hopes that the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (Sweden) will decide on the dispute with the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine under the contract for the purchase and sale of natural gas from 2009 on June 30, 2017. This is stated in the reporting of the Russian gas monopolist, the "Ukrainian News".

Previously, Gazprom and Naftogaz had been waiting for the arbitration award in the first quarter of this year, then they said that the decision would be made in April.

Recall that the mutual claims of Gazprom and Naftogaz under the gas purchase and sale contract are about $ 45.7 billion and $ 17.9 billion (without interest - $ 36.7 billion and $ 14 billion), respectively.

Earlier it was reported that the requirements of the Russian "Gazprom" to "Naftogaz Ukraine" in the Stockholm Arbitration are about $ 50 billion, but could potentially increase to $ 80 billion.

Recall that in December 2016, the Stockholm Arbitration Court completed the hearing on the case of Naftogaz with Gazprom,.

As reported, Gazprom in June 2014 appealed to the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce with a request for arbitration in order to recover from Naftogaz debt for the gas supplied in 2013-2014, as well as funds under the formula "take, or pay". For its part, Naftogaz filed a lawsuit about retroactive price changes, reimbursement of overpayments and the abolition of the ban on re-export. The court united both lawsuits.

In September 2016, Naftogaz increased the claim for Gazprom to 28.3 billion.

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" on the "transit" claim demanded to transfer its rights and obligations under the transit agreement to the operator of the GTS - the company Ukrtransgaz in accordance with the requirements of the Third Energy Package, as well as to change the methodology for calculating the transit tariff in accordance with European standards and provisions of the energy and antimonopoly legislation of Ukraine and EU.
