It is needed not for the International Monetary Fund, it is necessary for Ukraine itself. This on Monday evening, April 24, on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, said Deputy Prime Minister Pavel Rozenko.

He also stressed that the reform is primarily needed by current pensioners who are waiting for the increase in pensions. This is a chance for the young generation to receive a decent pension in old age, "the Deputy Prime Minister underscored, adding that discussions with the IMF continue uneasy.

In the Memorandum with the Foundation there is not a single mention of the need to increase the retirement age.

The main thing that Ukraine should do on pension reform is what it should earn in Ukraine from January 1, 2018, "explained Rozenko.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Rosenko April 18, said that the Cabinet is still working on its own scheme of pension reform. At the same time the representative of the IMF mission in Ukraine noted that the introduction of a funded pension system in the country is premature now, since Ukraine does not have the necessary legal base and the financial markets are not so developed.
