Cabinet appointed Deputy Minister of Energy Ministry ex-head of Ukrtransgaz

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine promulgated an order appointing Igor Prokopiev, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, who headed PJSC Ukrtransgaz from August 2014 to April 2017.

The personnel decision is fixed by the order of the Cabinet No. 271-r of April 19, 2017.

Earlier the source informed ZN. UA, that officially dismissed by Naftogaz of Ukraine, President of Ukrtransgaz PJSC Igor Prokopiv was appointed Deputy Energy Minister.

On March 17, the press service of the NAC officially informed about the dismissal of the head of Ukrtransgaz Igor Prokopiev from his post.

In mid-February, the leadership of "Naftogaz" removed Prokopiv from performing the duties of the president of "Ukrtransgaz".

According to the head of the NAK Andrei Kobolev, the decision to dismiss Prokopiev was related to the revealed violations during the holding of tenders by the company.

It was reported that the independent auditor Deloitte & Touche revealed a number of violations during the official inspection of the financial documents of Ukrtransgaz.

Later on these issues, investigations were carried out by both the external auditor and the newly established internal audit body "Naftogaz Ukrainy".

To date, the duties of the president of the company are temporarily performed by First Vice President Miroslav Khimko.

Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by Naftogaz of Ukraine, operates a system of gas mains and 12 underground gas storage facilities of the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
