"In accordance with the concluded contracts, 100% prepayment of the cost of mineral fertilizers of the nitrogen group with a volume of up to 300 thousand tons was made for a total of almost 2 billion UAH," the report says..

According to a press release, agrarians hope to restore the production capacity of these enterprises and fulfill contractual commitments by the plants for the supply of mineral fertilizers in full.

According to the Ministry, as of April 19, 2017, agricultural enterprises purchased 1.03 million tons of mineral fertilizers (108% of the demand), including 743 thousand tons of nitrogen fertilizers (110% of the demand), phosphorus - 165 thousand tonnes (106%). %), Potash 129 thousand tons (101% of the demand).

Recall that in March, Ukrtransgaz began to restrict the gas supply to Dmitry Firtash-controlled Rivneazot, Severodonetskoye Azot and Azot, explaining this decision by the debts of counterparties and the lack of confirmed volumes of gas in the GTS.

The Interdepartmental Commission for International Trade suspended the anti-dumping measures regarding the import of some nitrogen fertilizers to Ukraine by origin from Russia before July 1 of this year.

Ukraine paid $ 74 million to Russian enterprises for the urea-ammonium mixture in 2014-2016. At the same time, fertilizer imports increased annually. So, in 2016 the increase was 3% and the volume of purchases reached 149 thousand tons.
