"In 2017-2019, Ukraine should make payments both for the principal amount and for servicing the external and internal public debt for about $ 12.5 billion," he said..

According to him, without IMF credit, Ukraine will not be able to repay its obligations.

"Without further loans from the IMF, we will not be able to meet these commitments. That is, we will go into default, this must be understood by everyone, "he assured..

Concerning the memorandum with the IMF, then, according to the procedure established by the Fund, the Ukrainian side must formally give its consent to the publication of the memorandum.

To date, all signatories to the Memorandum, including the National Bank, have agreed to its publication. That is, the memorandum will be published after approval by the IMF Board of Directors.

Recall that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund on the revision of the cooperation program and the allocation of $ 1 billion to Ukraine is scheduled for March 20.

On March 4, the head of the IMF mission in Ukraine Ron van Rooden said that the IMF agreed with Ukraine on the allocation of a new tranche of $ 1 billion.

In September 2016, the IMF allocated a third tranche to Ukraine - $ 1 billion. According to the adjusted financing schedule, subsequent allocation of funds is planned quarterly on the basis of the IMF.

In 2015, Ukraine received only two tranches - $ 5 billion in March and $ 1.7 billion - in August 2015. After that there was a pause due to the failure of a number of conditions, a political crisis and a change of government.
