OJSC Sredneuralsky Copper Smelting Plant (the UMMC metallurgical complex) purchased 36 tank-wagons for transportation of sulfuric acid and oleum. Of these, 20 - for oleum - produced "Uralvagonzavod" (Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region), and 16 - for sulfuric acid - "Tikhvin KhimMash" (Tikhvin, Leningrad region), which is part of the "United Railcar Company".

Unlike typical analogues (68 tons), tanks of TikhvinHimMash with a greater payload capacity of 77 tons, as well as changes in the design of their hatches on the buyer's initiative: an additional branch pipe was installed for gas outlet. The need to change the design of tank hatches arose in connection with the gas-free technology of acid loading in the sulfuric acid shop of SUMZ (CSK) commissioned in 2009. That is, the gas (sulfuric anhydride) is not released into the atmosphere, as it was before, but is completely trapped. In the hatch of a new generation tank - two branch pipes. One - for hermetic filling of acid, the second - for a hermetic outlet of sulfuric anhydride. On a flexible metalized sleeve, which is inserted into the branch pipe, the gas is evacuated to the CSK degassing unit. Experimental samples of such tanks were operated at the plant in 2015 and proved to be well established.

All 36 new tanks are put into operation. For their acquisition, the company sent more than 112 million rubles. Already at the plant, about 800 cisterns are used to transport sulfuric acid and oleum.
