The Ministry of Economy is assessing the National Cashback program and is already preparing new, more precise conditions that will work next year. Now the government has changed the list of expense categories and extended the program until June 2026, but in the future the rules may be completely rewritten. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Alexey Sobolev. According to him, the department is already conducting a comprehensive assessment of the program’s work over the course of the year to determine how it affected various industries and how effectively it achieved its original goal..
“We, as agreed last year, are looking at the year the program was launched, making an assessment in which industries, how it works, in order to formulate more precise conditions for the program next year,” Sobolev said. According to official data, 1,885 companies – manufacturers and sellers of Ukrainian goods – have already joined the “National Cashback”. The program works according to a simple scheme:.
The Cabinet of Ministers has significantly revised the list of goods and services on which money accumulated under the program can be spent. The following categories are now available:.
But the funds can no longer be used to pay for mobile communications, transport tickets, movie tickets and the purchase of war bonds.
The government explains the reduction of the list by the need to optimize the program and direct spending to the highest priority areas in war conditions.
To ensure that Ukrainians can continue to enjoy financial support, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to extend the National Cashback program until June 30, 2026. Sobolev did not disclose the specific parameters of future changes, but emphasized: decisions will be made based on an analysis of which product categories work most effectively.
