From February 1, 2025. In Ukraine, traffic is prohibited in the territories of the natural-reserve fund, and violators will be required to pay fines and compensation for the damage caused. Fines can be from 4,000 to 8,000 hryvnias for illegal passage.

This is stated in law No. 4188-IX, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. One of the key changes is the ban on the movement of mechanical vehicles on the territory of the environmental fund (PZF), including all types of transport - from mopeds and motorcycles to trucks. According to the new rules, any passage of transport on the territory of environmental zones is considered a violation. For violators, fines are provided:.

These fines are only part of the punishment, since violators are required to compensate for the damage caused to natural territories. According to the legislation, the amount of compensation for every 100 meters of illegal passage is: these compensation payments significantly exceed the size of the fines, which is an important factor in deterrence of violations. The purpose of this law is not only a penalty of violators, but also stimulating a more careful attitude to nature. Legislative innovations also provide for the introduction of fines for drivers for excessive noise coming from vehicles.

This is an additional measure to reduce environmental damage from transport and ensure more comfortable conditions for people and animals in protected areas.

The protected territories of Ukraine suffer from excessive human activity. The movement of transport in these territories causes the destruction of ecosystems, deterioration of air quality and violation of natural animal habitats. According to the new legislation, measures taken will contribute to the preservation of natural heritage for future generations and prevent negative environmental consequences.
