Iran resumes the production of missiles after Israeli attacks on key factories last year. According to experts, this is evidenced by the arrival of the first of two ships from China, transporting 1000 tons of sodium perchlorate - the key fuel component for Iran’s military missile program. Golbon ship already anchored at the Iranian port of Bandar-Abbas. This is written by CNN.

According to two sources in European intelligence, the Golbon ship left the Chinese port Thazan three weeks ago, loaded most of the 1000-ton sodium perchlorate-the main precursor in the production of solid fuel, which is used in ordinary Iran medium-range missiles.

This amount of sodium perchlorate can allow to produce a sufficient amount of fuel for about 260 solid -fuel rocket engines for Iranian missiles Haibar Shekan or 200 Hajj Kasem ballistic missiles.

Delivery is carried out at a time when Iran suffered a number of regional failures, and its allies suffered a collective defeat: the fall of Bashar Assad in Syria and the loss of Hezbollah in Lebanon. After Israel’s strike on Iranian missile production facilities in October, some Western experts believed that it might pass at least a year before Iran could resume the production of solid fuel. But this supply indicates that Iran is not far from the production of his missiles or that he can already return to him.

Sources note that the cargo was acquired on behalf of the Department of Procurement of the organization of self -sufficient jihad (SSJO), part of the Iranian body responsible for the development of Iranian ballistic missiles.

The second vessel, Jairan, has not yet been downloaded and did not leave China, both vessels are operated by ISLAMIC Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), CNN sources said. Jairan must transport the remaining 1000 tons to Iran. Golbon left the port of Tychan and headed to Iran January 21.

The supply of sodium perchlorate itself is not illegal and does not violate Western sanctions. But it can be chemically converted into an ammonium perchloreth - fuel and oxidizing agent, which is a controlled product.

The representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Mao Nin told reporters in January that she did not know the details of this case, but China has always complied with its laws on export control, as well as the country's international obligations.

Both ships, and Golbon and Jairan are under US sanctions.

Meanwhile, China remains a diplomatic and economic ally of Iranian sanctions, condemning the “unilateral” US sanctions against this country and welcoming Tehran in international blocs under the leadership of Beijing and Moscow, such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Brix.

Recall that in early February, US President Donald Trump said that he left the instructions to " Trump criticized President Joe Biden for not making the same strict warning in four years in power.
