45-year-old Scottish businessman Gareth Wilson, who was ordered to demolish his luxurious mansion, managed to save the building, changing his appointment. Instead of demolition, he received permission to convert construction into a tourist facility, including six houses for relaxation. Daily Mail writes about this.

A mansion in the form of the letter L was erected without permission on the territory of the Tennox Farm estate, near Kilbirni, Airshir, during pandemia Covid-19. The authorities of North Airshir in 2023 refused a retrospective building resolution, but Wilson proposed an alternative plan - to convert the building into a tourist complex, which allowed him to avoid demolition.

The planning council approved the project, provided that a number of strict requirements are observed. The new complex will include six houses for relaxation, as well as additional amenities, such as new access roads, parking, pedestrian tracks and a narrow gauge railway.

According to local authorities, this project corresponds to the development plan of the region and will contribute to the development of the tourism industry, creating jobs and supporting local business. Representatives of the coal mining department noted that they do not mind construction, but insist on an additional study of the territory to identify possible risks associated with former mining developments.

The official decision of the Council of North Airshir says that the implementation of the project should strictly comply with the submitted plans and documentation.

Previously, the focus reported that the family bought a house in another country without examining it.

Buying new housing turned into an endless repair, stress and financial problems. It took 5 years, a dozen workers and two contractors to bring the house to mind.

It also became known that the spouses sold a house on the seashore to live in a small boat. Ula and Josh conducted a tour of their house and shared the experience of life on the water. They showed how their unique housing was conveniently and rationally organized, and also talked about the difficulties that they had to encounter.
