Former customs officer faces 10 years in prison for illegal enrichment: what did he buy?

A former customs officer of Lviv customs is suspected of illegal enrichment - he acquired unjustified assets - land plots, cars, etc.. - more than 12 million UAH. For this he faces, among other things, 5 to 10 years in prison.

This was reported in the State Bureau of Investigations (GBR). They noted that the “suspicious” assets of the former customs officer are:.

" He is suspected of illegal enrichment. (Art.. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the message says.

At the same time, it is emphasized: the issue of choosing a suspected preventive measure is being decided at present. Law enforcement officers also intend to seek in court the seizure of these assets..
