Two Brazilian residents, father and daughter, had no idea that they were at risk of dying from a road traffic accident (RTA).. One evening they left the house, were going about their business and accidentally found a coin that was lying on the side of the road.. A moment after this, an accident occurred that did not hurt people. The incident in Brazil was reported on the Need To Know portal.

The portal showed footage taken by a surveillance camera in the town of Icapui, located in the extreme eastern point of Brazil on the Atlantic coast.. We see that events unfold at 18:05 on January 8, 2025. Video lasts 23 seconds.

Father and daughter, 7-10 years old, exit to the left of the camera and head towards the highway. The girl runs forward, meanwhile the man notices something in the roadside dust. They stop together and the father picks something up from the ground.. A moment later, a car “flies” past, rushing at high speed.. People and the machine that could kill them are separated by a meter, which they would have walked if not for the coin: fortunately this does not happen and they save their lives.

Meanwhile the camera shows what happened next. The car drove another ten meters, braked sharply, twisted, crashed into an embankment along the road and turned its wheels upside down.. The father, realizing the possible death a second ago, hugs the child. Then the man runs along with passers-by to help the victims of the accident, the last footage of the recording is shown.

Journalists talked to a Brazilian named Carlos, who, together with his daughter, was saved from death thanks to a dusty coin. He agreed that they were separated from the tragedy by a moment.

" If we hadn't stopped to pick up the coin, we wouldn't be here now,"

The portal also reported on the circumstances of the accident.. As it turned out, the driver of the car, who was flying at high speed, suddenly noticed a motorcyclist, sharply turned the steering wheel and turned over. None of the participants in the “adventure” were harmed.
