Ukraine will pay compensation for free accommodation of internally displaced persons (DPs). From January, payments will be made by the Pension Fund, and for each person you can receive 450 UAH. Thus, on December 31, 2024, the Government adopted Resolution No. 1544 “Some issues of providing state support to internally displaced persons,” which introduced changes to the Procedure for compensation of expenses for temporary accommodation (stay) of internally displaced persons. Since January 2025, compensation for temporary free accommodation has been paid by the Pension Fund of Ukraine according to the lists of recipients provided by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

Starting from March 1, 2025, the consideration of applications and making decisions on the assignment of compensation for expenses will be provided by the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Ukrainians who had the right to receive compensation for expenses earlier and are included in the lists transferred to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, payment of compensation continues without additional appeal.
