Today, October 18, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) issued a memorable coin of the XII Paralympic Winter Games. This is the press service of the NBU.

The coin continued the Sport series and has a face value of 2 UAH; it is made of nickel silver; circulation - 35 thousand. pieces.

The new coin is dedicated to the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, which were held in the South Korean city of Pkhenchkhan from March 9 to 18. The National Paralympic National Team of Ukraine at this competition was represented by 33 athletes who won 22 awards: seven gold, seven silver and eight bronze and finished sixth in the overall ranking of games and fourth in the total number of medals..

On the obverse of the coin, stylized three medals with yellow-blue ribbons (used pad printing) are placed on a mirror background on the reverse - the Paralympic is depicted during the competition, which was prototyped by one of the members of the national team of Ukraine.

NBU price for this commemorative coin is 49 UAH. The implementation of commemorative coins will be carried out by the offices of the NBU, Oschadbank JSC and Ukrgasbank AB.
