"May 18, 1944 the Soviet regime began the deportation of Crimean Tatars to their historical homeland - Crimea. Their forced eviction, limiting livelihood caused the death of about half of the evicted. National Bank of Ukraine puts into circulation commemorative coin, with the participation of the State Service of Ukraine on the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The coin is made with the use of patination techniques, "- stated in the message NBU.
