The Ministry of Transport of China prepares the first regulations for the regulation of robots. Many Chinese companies are already testing unmanned vehicles on public roads, but in this country there are still no laws in this sector. At the same time in America, legislation for robotic vehicles has already introduced more than 24 states. Experts believe that China will introduce the most liberal laws to keep up with the US. China is considered the world's largest car manufacturer, and the number of companies developing unmanned vehicles is growing in the country every year. However, in the PRC there are still no laws regulating the rules of operation of robots. "We are building test sites and working on recommendations for testing unmanned vehicles on public roads," said Transport Minister Li Xiaopeng in an interview with China Central Television. Tests of unmanned vehicles on Chinese roads have already been carried out, but so far on a limited scale. So, at the end of last year in Beijing, manufacturers of robotic cars were allowed to test their development on public routes by prior arrangement. Prior to this, the authorities banned any experiments with unmanned vehicles in the urban environment. This year already two Chinese companies - Pony. ai and JingChi - began to test the robots. At the same time last year and Pony. ai, and JingChi relocated their head offices from Silicon Valley to Chinese Guangzhou. By December, both companies intend to launch robotaxi services in China. The introduction of technology in China often begins later, but is faster than in other countries.

For example, for several years the country has become one of the world leaders in terms of the volume of non-cash payments. In the case of robotic cars, China also has a chance to get ahead. In an interview with South China Morning Post, analyst of the consulting company TrendForce Yvette Lin noted that the authorities are unlikely to impose strict restrictions on the testing of robots. As a result, other Chinese start-ups, which are based overseas, will return to their homeland,.
