The American startup Magic Leap for the first time showed glasses of mixed reality, over which it developed over the past few years. The system will allow you to superimpose on the reality of ultra-realistic virtual objects - just like in a popular video with a whale. The Magic Leap One is equipped with a set of sensors and cameras, and it is based on the patented technology Digital Lightfield®. The company describes the technology as follows: "The photonics of the light field generates digital light with different depths and imperceptibly blends it with natural light. As a result, digital objects are obtained that merge with the real world ". Magic Leap promises that this technology does not tire a person as a virtual reality, so you can use glasses for several hours without interruption. Technology will also be complemented by the imposition of a medium map, accurate tracking and the "acoustic field" system. That is, virtual images will be accompanied by sound and remain in the system, even if the user takes off the glasses for a while, and then returns to the view. The effect of limiting realism was promised by the company when it released a video on which a whale emerges from under the floor of the sports hall. The video was a normal animation, but Magic Leap promised the same result in reality. In addition to the points, a computer-connected unit with a battery is connected in addition to the cord - a company similar to the CD player offers to attach to the belt of trousers. Also, the device requires a wireless controller. The startup promises to release the device in 2018, but the price of Magic Leap has not yet reported. Pre-order is also not yet available. The presented device is called Creator Edition - it is intended for developers and designers.
