In December 2017 in Ukraine, the project "Development of the institutional capacity of the Office for Export Promotion", which is implemented with the support of the governments of Great Britain and Canada. The project is to analyze and advise the Government of Ukraine, in particular the Ministry of Economic Development, on the optimal legal framework and organizational structure of the Institute for Support and Promotion of Export on the basis of ERO. The goal of the project is to prepare the organizational and legal basis for the establishment of the institute, based on the experience and the operational model of the Office for Export Promotion. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development. The Export Promotion Office was established in November 2016 and acts as a consultative and advisory body to the Ministry of Economic Development with the support of projects financed by the governments of Canada and the United States. Over the year, the Office created and tested the model of exporters' support by providing export services, programs to support exporters, consultations, educational projects for exporters, trade missions and exhibitions.

According to the Road map for strategic development of trade 2017-2021, which is a part of Ukraine's Export Strategy, the development of trade requires institutional improvement and expansion of government instruments, namely, the creation of institutions? to support and promote exports. Therefore, the next step is the creation of a state institute for export promotion based on the ERA for the development and support of a modern export-oriented system.
