According to Anatoly Amelin, director of economic programs of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, in 2022, hryvnia salaries will double. Amelin's calculations show that even without reforms, Ukraine's GDP will grow at a rate of 3-4% per year. At the same time, the average salary in 2018 will grow to 8.6 thousand, in 2019 - to 9.5 thousand, in 2020 - to 10.5 thousand, in 2021 - to 11.7 thousand, and in 2022 - to 13 thousand, reports ETCETERA. Under the optimistic scenario of development - with reforms and investment attraction - GDP growth will accelerate from 3% in 2018 to 6% in 2022. The average salary by the end of the period is 14.5 thousand hryvnia, which is exactly twice as much as now. The figures do not seem surprising, considering that in early 2016 the average salary in Ukraine was 4,300, and today - 7,300. Growth is associated with an increase in social payments, the devaluation of the hryvnia and only the last - with the recovery of the economy. Therefore, "large numbers" does not mean an increase in the solvency of citizens - prices and tariffs do not lag behind.

Even taking into account the devaluation of the hryvnia, the salary of Ukrainians in dollar terms will grow. This means that imported products, goods and travel to Europe, as well as natural gas. But even here there is a "hint". If the economy develops slowly, the import of Ukrainians leads to an outflow of currency abroad. Consequently - to the next collapse of the hryvnia. So it was already after the periods of recovery in 2001-2007 and 2011-2013.
