Ukrainians take first place among recipients of residence permits in the EU countries in 2015-2016. Analysts of "Words and Cases" considered which countries Ukrainians are most willing to accept and for what reasons our citizens are traveling to the EU. According to the data, in 2015, 500 thousand people left for Europe, and in 2016 - 588.9 thousand citizens of Ukraine. In general, the share of positive responses for our citizens to obtain a residence permit in the EU countries is almost 20%. As for the reasons for leaving the homeland, the first place is for job search, on the second - for training, and on the third - for family reasons. The most welcome people are our citizens in Poland. The proportion of Ukrainians among all nationalities who received residence permits from Warsaw is at least 80%. This is 430.1 thousand people in 2015 and 512.6 thousand people in 2016. On the second place in terms of loyalty to Ukrainians - the Czech Republic, on the third - Slovakia.

In both countries, the percentage of Ukrainians who are granted residence permits is at least 30%. Let us recall that a residence permit is a permit, a valid minimum of 3 months, issued by the authorities of a member state of the EU and which allows non-EU citizens to be legally present in the territory of a Member State (for the purpose of training, employment, family and other circumstances).
