The company SpaceX, which is engaged in the development and launch of space rockets, does not plan to improve the design of its famous development Falcon9. This was told by the company's president Gwynn Shotwell in an interview with Space News. According to her, the thrust of the Falcon9 Block 5 missile engines will be increased by 8%, compared to the thrust of the Block 4 units, the first stage of this carrier being designed for ten or more launches. The first launch of Block 5 is planned at the end of the first quarter of 2018. In addition, Shotwell stated that, starting with the version of Block5, the Falcon9 design will be frozen. The final version of the media is currently being certified for the launch of NASA and Pentagon missions. She also recalled that in 2017 the company had already conducted 16 successful launches, and by the end of the year it is planned to hold four more. SpaceX is expected to launch a Zuma mission for the Pentagon, a Dragon truck for NASA and ten Iridium Next telecommunications satellites, and will conduct the first test launch of the Falcon Heavy superheavy carrier. This medium is based on three Falcon 9.
The first start-up is planned using Block 4, further - with Block 5. In 2018, the company plans to carry out about 30 launches, and in the future to reach 30-40 launches per year. In 2022, the company still planned to remove the transport system BFR (Big Falcon Rocket), which should replace the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. At the same time, the company's customers, according to Schottwell, will still be able to use the last two carriers.
