Industrial robots are becoming more effective than humans

The robot market has been booming over the last few years. In many respects this is due to the appearance of so-called "trunks", specially programmed to interact with humans and able to "learn" from the masters. In the future, they must change the labor market beyond recognition, writes Financial Times. According to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), in 2016 the industrial robots market grew by 18% to a record $ 13 billion. The spread of robots beyond automobile factories and the increasing complexity of tasks that they can perform have given rise to discussions about how soon workers will no longer be needed. "Basically, this is due to lower marginal costs," says Moshe Vardi, a professor at Rice University in Texas.

"If the marginal costs of the robot are lower than the worker's salary, provided that the first does the job no worse, then there is an economic sense of hiring a robot". McKinsey research also confirms the theory: about 30% of all tasks in 60% of industries will be automated, analysts. However, often the problem is that companies simply can not find workers ready to perform dirty work, says ABB vice president Per Vegard Nerset. According to him, the countries with the lowest unemployment, most often, have the highest density of use of robots.
