Former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Yuriy Grymchak sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was found guilty of extortion and taking a multi-million dollar bribe..

According to the SBU, the ex-official and his assistant were detained in August 2019 while receiving part of the funds - $ 480 thousand.

By a court decision, Yuriy Grymchak was found guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - fraud and incitement to complete an attempt to provide unlawful benefits to officials occupying a responsible and especially responsible position.

The judgment has entered into force.
