Rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine made more than 30 trips during the day, from March 9 to March 10, to eliminate fires and disassemble the rubble of destroyed buildings.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region reported operational information as of 7:00 on March 10.

They noted that the enemy, with renewed vigor, especially at night, carried out shelling and aerial bombardment of various objects in residential areas of Kharkov and settlements in the region.. In particular, at 22:46 a message was received about a fire and destruction in the Nikolsky shopping center, located in the center of Kharkov. Three rescue teams rushed to the scene. Structural elements and decorations burned on the fourth and technical floors, as well as on the roof. The fire area was about 100 sq.. At 3:00 the fire was extinguished. There were no casualties or injuries.

In addition, at night, the village of Slobozhanskoye in the Balakliya community of the Izyumsky district was shelled, as a result of which a private residential building was destroyed.. Two women and two children died under the rubble. A 5-year-old girl managed to survive, who was hospitalized by a team of doctors in Pervomaisky hospital. To search for the bodies of the dead, subdivisions of the State Emergency Service will be involved today.

It is also reported that over the past day, more than 40 units of fire and rescue equipment and about 200 personnel of the State Emergency Service were involved in the elimination of the consequences of Russian aggression.. Rescuers, volunteers and public utilities continue to work on clearing the rubble of destroyed residential buildings and administrative buildings, and the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service continue to neutralize unexploded artillery munitions.
