Tragedy almost happened on Sobieszewski island in Gdansk. A Russian dry cargo ship sailing from Klaipeda (Lithuania) to the Gdansk North port deviated from the course and, not responding to radio requests from the Polish coastal service, was heading towards the beach.

According to Polish Radio, border guards disembarked on board a Russian ship and found that the ship's captain had 2 ppm of alcohol in his blood, and two officers had 1.5 ppm each..

Now the Russian dry cargo ship is in the roadstead, and the workers of the Polish border service are engaged in its registration..

It is noted that this vessel, which has 120 meters in length and more than 7 meters of draft, transported steel structures.
