Boxer who killed a UGO employee in Kiev was sentenced to 7 years in prison

Boxer Pyotr Ocheretyany, who fatally injured Vasily Khmelyuk, an employee of the State Security Department, was sentenced to seven years in prison.

This was reported by the press service of the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office on Facebook.

The event took place on the night of January 2, 2019 at the Saperniy Pole in the Pechersk district of the capital..

A man walking his dogs was crossing the road and saw a car passing behind him. Later, a verbal conflict arose between him, the driver and the passengers of the car over the fact that their car almost hit his dog.

During the conflict, a man stabbed one of the passengers in the head, causing him an intracranial injury. From her, the victim died on the spot.



The attacker, who turned out to be a professional boxer Ocheretyany, fled from the scene. Later it was established that the victim was an employee of the UGO. During the trial, the accused did not admit his guilt in the incriminated crime.

On August 18, the Pechersky District Court passed a guilty verdict, by which he was found guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part. 2 st. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced to imprisonment for 7 years.
