The crime took place in the village of Verkhneye Dubrovo on the night of February 1 in a house rented by a construction company for its employees. It was home to a 24-year-old previously convicted man and his 44-year-old boss, who worked as a foreman. They occupied different rooms. According to the suspect, the foreman constantly makes claims against him at work and at home, as a result of which tensions arose between them.. Before the murder, the handyman and the foreman drank alcohol. When the boss went to his room, his subordinate decided to deal with him.. He took a cleaver [ax] and a knife. Entering the foreman's room, the suspect stabbed him several times in the head with a cleaver, and then stabbed him in the neck.. The victim died on the spot from his injuries.

After the massacre, the suspect began to shoot a video of the bloody victim on his cell phone, he then sent the recording to his friends, informing them that he had finally dealt with the one who bothered him so much, said Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the MIA General Administration for the Sverdlovsk Region.
