The security service of Ukraine exposed a group of fiscal officials in Bukovina who organized a scheme for the illegal export of agricultural products.

The intelligence service found that the heads of individual departments of the State Institution of the State Fiscal Service in the Chernivtsi region acted in collusion with representatives of commercial structures. Officials helped them to export large quantities of walnuts through fictitious firms. The products were delivered to the EU and the Middle East using forged documents.

According to preliminary estimates, the actions of officials led to the non-receipt of taxes, fees and other mandatory payments to the state budget of Ukraine for almost 258 million hryvnia.

According to the results of searches at customs posts, bodies of the state fiscal service, places of residence of the defendants, law enforcement officers seized documentation, rough notes, seals and stamps indicating illegal activities. Now 11 persons have been reported suspected of h. 3 st. 27 h. 3 st. 28 h. 3 st. 212, h. 4 st. 358, h. 2 st. 205-1, h. 1 st. 366, h. 2 st. 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
