The situation around the sunken tanker Delfi in Odessa was declared a local emergency. The vessel again spilled oil products into the sea.
This was announced by the head of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine Andriy Malevanny.
According to Malevanny, another attempt to lift the sunken tanker to the keel failed, but a new outpouring of oil products occurred, resulting in pollution of about 100 square meters of the water surface..

In addition, today the Odessa Regional State Administration decided to deny the owner of the vessel in continuing attempts to lift the tanker and to involve in the operation the capacity of the Administration of the seaports of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.
We will remind, the tanker Delfi sank off the coast of Odessa last year, after it was torn from anchor during a strong storm.. The boat is still lying on the breakwater as the owner cannot remove it..
