Ksenia Prokonova’s lawyer said that Alexander Blakirev, who is accused of raping and killing a two-year-old boy, was early released from jail.
The Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kiev granted the corresponding request of the defense, but did not inform the victims and the prosecutor about this decision.
According to Prokonova, the accused did not spend a single day in prison, Facts specify.
Blakirev was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2019 under Article. 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) and Art.. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal handling of weapons).
However, the court of appeal ruled that the pre-trial detention from May 18, 2016 to October 21, 2019 was considered by Savchenko’s law (two days).
Thus, Blakirev served most of his sentence and was released ahead of schedule for conscientious conduct.. Victim's lawyer is going to appeal the court decision.
