Police detained a man who tried to set fire to St. Andrew’s Church

The incident happened on the territory of the Podolsky district of Kiev more than a week ago.. Then the police received a message from the guard that unknown persons threw incendiary bottles at the side door of St. Andrew’s Church.

The crews of the patrolmen, dog handlers and the investigative team of the district immediately arrived at the scene and inspected the scene of the incident..

The fire did not happen as a result of the incident and no one was injured.. From the scene, experts seized a glass bottle with traces of soot wrapped with adhesive tape, the remnants of parts of other bottles and a backpack.



"Police officers watched video from surveillance cameras, conducted a complex of operational search activities and found that a 32-year-old local resident was involved in the offense, had no previous problems with the law.
