Lozovsky local prosecutor's office began a pre-trial investigation into the fact of spending more than 500 thousand. uah. of budgetary funds during the overhaul of the light-dynamic fountain in one of the regional centers of the Kharkiv region.

As the head of the local prosecutor's office, Igor Beloded, said, so far 3 persons have been informed about the suspicion of committing crimes.

A 49-year-old director who carried out repair work is suspected of seizing other people's property on a large scale by abusing his official position (h. 4 st. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The 65-year-old head of the department of housing and communal services, construction and infrastructure development of the city council and the 51-year-old chief specialist of the same department, who coordinated the acts of work performed, were in official negligence (h. 1 st. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and h. 2 st. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The city council signed a contract for the overhaul and restoration of the fountain with the public in August 2017. According to the documents, the contractor received about UAH 1.5 million for the work performed.. However, according to the investigation, the cost of its services LLC has overstated more than half a million hryvnia.

It has been established that the contractor has twice submitted false information to the acts of transfer and acceptance. The first document, where the cost of work was overestimated by almost 180 thousand UAH, in September 2017 agreed and signed the head of the relevant department of the City Council. The second, in which the director of the LLC unduly accrued more than 330 thousand. UAH, - chief management specialist.
