On Friday in the Tver region on the Tver-Rzhev road, near the village of Nekrasovo, there was a frontal collision between the LIAZ passenger bus and the Ford minibus taxi.

Only the driver and one passenger were on the bus.. The reason for departure of the minibus to the oncoming lane is unknown. From the blow, all the windows in the minibus took off, but she herself pressed into the body of the bus and was crushed so that people in the raid had practically no chance to survive. 13 people, including the driver, died on the spot, another four were taken to the hospital. Two of them are in serious condition.. All the dead at the time of the collision were in the bus. From a minibus, only one passenger miraculously survived from the back seat. No children among the dead.

At first it was assumed that the minibus drove into the oncoming lane, performing overtaking. The surviving passenger, having recovered, told that the driver of the minibus did not let go of his “mobile phone” all the way. The version of negligence is confirmed by the video from the registrar of the car, which moved behind the bus.

About 50 rescuers, traffic accident officers, several ambulance crews, a Mi-8 helicopter and 19 units of special equipment worked at the site of the tragedy..

October 6 and 7 were declared in the Tver region days of mourning for the dead.
