The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine believes that the cause of chemical emissions in the north of the occupied Russia of the Crimea was the penetration of shells into technological tanks during the training of units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
"According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on August 13-19 this year, during the training to cover the administrative border with the Kherson region, the units of the RF Armed Forces fired in the areas where chemical waste from the titanium and soda plants. Due to the penetration of shells, these objects were damaged, which led to a significant deterioration of the ecological situation throughout the north of the occupied Crimea, "Defense Ministry spokesman Alexander Motuzianik said at a briefing.
It is noted that, at the same time, the Russian occupation command is trying to hide the scale of the environmental problem and avoid responsibility for its emergence, by disseminating false and distorted reports in the media, misinform the society about the real state of environmental danger in the Crimea.
