The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office sent a bill of indictment against the major and the senior police lieutenant to the Kiev district court of the city, suspected of having taken the woman to the forest belt in order to "knock out" her admission of stealing the phone.

As the press service of the Kharkov regional prosecutor's office informs, the police are charged with abuse of office by law enforcement officers on preliminary conspiracy (h. 2 items. 28, hours. 2 items. 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

"The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years. Now, at the request of the prosecutor's office, law enforcers have been removed from their posts, "the message says..

According to the pre-trial investigation, in early January of this year the police asked Kharkov, who reported that during the celebration of his birthday, his mobile phone disappeared and he suspects that he was stolen by a 34-year-old woman. But no facts that could confirm this version, the man did not provide. Nevertheless, the next day the senior police lieutenant summoned this woman to the police station. She explained that the phone did not take and does not know who did this. But the police decided to force her to confess, in order to increase the rates of crime detection.

When they realized that the psychological pressure on the woman does not work, the major first began to beat her, and then, since the woman still refused to admit guilt, the police took her mobile phone, put her in the car and took her out to the forest near the circumferential road. There, threatening her to undress, handcuffed and left in a helpless state, they continued to demand confession of a crime. In the end, the woman agreed to plead guilty.

According to the press service of the prosecutor's office, one of the policemen (major) is a suspect in another similar case - about "knocking out" confessions from students at the aerospace university. This case is already under consideration by the court.
