The river Chita which has left from coasts has undermined streets of the city with the same name, having forced local authorities to remove from territories of an order of three thousand persons, have declared in the press-service of administration of the regional center. There are eight temporary accommodation points in the city. EMERCOM employees help evacuate residents of cities and settlements of Transbaikalia, affected by floods. From the flooded areas they are transported by boat and sent to relatives or temporary accommodation points, which are open in the whole region 13.

Rescuers also handed over to their parents 350 children, taken out of four children's camps. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, seven settlements and 243 houses are flooded in the region. To date, the water level in the Chita River and suburban horticultural partnerships has subsided, but regional weather forecasters have given a storm warning. They said that on the territory of the region on Wednesday and Thursday "very heavy rains, heavy downpours" are expected, which can provoke a "dangerous flood".
