From the Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand, the eighth child of a local junior football team was rescued, which, along with the trainer, was cut off from the exit due to a sudden flood, reports Khao Sot.

It is reported that the rescued child is in a field hospital located at the entrance to the cave.

As it was reported, the rescuers started the second stage of evacuation.

The operation involved about 80 divers, many of them - foreign rescuers, who came, in particular, from Britain and Australia.

On Sunday, rescuers successfully evacuated four people from the group consisting of 12 members of the children's football team and their coach. All of them were blocked in the cave by flooding on June 23.

The authorities and the rescue headquarters are trying to speed up the process due to unfavorable weather forecasts, which do not exclude new heavy rains, which can significantly complicate the operation.
