In the main cargo terminal there was a serious leakage of an unknown toxic substance, because of which 11 to 14 people got to the hospital with serious poisoning. This is reported by Glavred with reference to RMF.

"Experts recognize this substance - what is it, what we are dealing with and what are the possible risks," said Captain of the Moscow Fire Department Wojciech Kapchinsky.

It is suggested that the leak occurred due to damage to one of the drums in which, possibly, phenylacetonitrile was transported - an extremely toxic substance that strongly affects the skin, eyes and respiratory tract.

The victims complained of nausea, suffocation, headache. All of them were hospitalized, their condition is not yet known.
